Kelly-Ann Bobb is a Trinidad-based visual artist and analogue fine art photographer, born in Trinidad and Tobago. She has always had a natural inclination toward creativity. After completing medical school, she fell in love with the unending complexities of film photography.
She utilises photography as a tool of unmasking, telling stories that would not otherwise be told, revealing as much of herself as the subjects she photographs. Her photography has evolved into one of her greatest forms of creative expression and activism and has fostered a profound interest in her Afro-Caribbean identity, community, and the world.
Bobb’s works have been published by the British Journal of Photography, Amateur Photographer, Der Greif, Forgotten Lands and many others.
She has won numerous international photography awards including the Tokyo International Foto Awards, IPA: International Photography Awards, British Journal of Photography and All About Photo Awards.
Kelly-Ann Bobb’s work has been exhibited internationally at the Southeastern Centre for Contemporary Art (SECCA), North Carolina, U.S.A. and the Museum of the Verzasca Valley, Switzerland. Her image “African Spiritual” was acquired by the Central Bank Museum of Trinidad and Tobago for its permanent collection.
